Stuffed tomatoes with mozzarella cheese


Ingredients

  • 100 gram Mozzarella cheese
  • 4 whole Tomatoes
  • 150 gram Cooked Rice
  • 160 gram Ground meat (Beef and pork)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 4 piece Tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 15 gram Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, olive oil (As needed)


1. Slice the top part of tomatoes and scoop the insides out. Mince the insides and set aside.
**Drain water from the insides of tomatoes after mincing.

2. Mince onion and garlic. Fry them with olive oil in a pan.

3. Add meat to (2) and fry until colour changes. Add minced tomatoes, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Fry a little more.

4. Add butter to (3) and add salt and pepper to taste.

5. Scoop rice into a tomato shell until it is 1/3 full. Then scoop (4) on top of the rice and fill tomato shell completely. Place a slice of cheese (1cm thick) on top of tomato. Make 4 stuffed tomatoes altogether.

6. Bake for 15-20min at 210C. (or 12-15min in a toaster oven. Cover with tin foil if they start to burn.)
